TECHNOLOGICAL PROGRAM
FOR THE RECONVERSION OF ENVIRONMENTAL LIABILITIES
SCALING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF TECHNOLOGY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A CIRCULAR ECONOMY IN THE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY AND SERVICE COMPANIES
OBJECTIVES
The objective of our program is to scale up technologies for mechanical, chemical, biological and thermochemical conversion of waste streams from the manufacturing industry and service companies to reduce the environmental impact of these environmental liabilities, create new business opportunities and promote a circular economy in Chile.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
-
Locate, quantify and characterize the waste of interest generated by the Manufacturing and Service Industries in the Biobío Region.
-
Scale the mechanical, chemical, biological and thermal transformation technologies proposed for the processing of waste from the Manufacturing and Service Industries, from the current level (TRL 5-6) to a level of development that allows its productive implementation (TRL 8).
-
Develop products from the transformation of the waste of interest, introduce them demonstratively in the market and evaluate their acceptance; establish the environmental, economic and commercial viability of their production and commercialization.
-
Protect intellectual property and establish a market transfer strategy that allows the application of technologies.
-
Establish platforms for collaboration and work with companies and trade associations of the manufacturing and service industries, technology suppliers, the public sector and citizens, to facilitate the productive adoption of the proposed technological solutions.
